Will Freeman, a Tampa Bay entrepreneur and philanthropist, made a gift in 2026 to establish the fund.

Freeman is a seasoned technology executive who ventured into the global sports industry. He founded Catalyst Sports Ventures (CSV), a global sports investment firm with minority stakes in European football clubs, and the Global Sports Access Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
 

He initially got involved with the University of South Florida through the Nault Center for Entrepreneurship and has served as an Advisory Board Member since 2023.

Freeman is excited to deepen his relationship with the university by helping advance the careers of USF Men’s Soccer student-athletes.
