What drives your motivation to be a donor and volunteer for the Bulls Club?
I was raised in a family of UF Gators and grew up becoming passionate about that school. The quality education, the high profile sports program that I watched grow from loveable loser to national champion, and the long standing traditions are very motivating. When I was finally ready to decide what university made the most sense for me I really bought into the idea of "Building the Tradition" and not just joining it. USF offered that opportunity and more. While attending USF I served as, Student Government President at USF Sarasota Manatee, an Ambassador, and immediately became an Alumni Member after graduation. My passion for sports and competition made me a natural fit for Bulls Club activities. My wife, Helena, has a BS and Master's degree from the USF College of Nursing. We enjoy watching and supporting the student-athletes with our children today.
Favorite USF Athletics Memory?
I have so many, but there are two that stand out to me. The first was my graduation day. Since I did not take a traditional road through college there was nothing better than receiving my degree and having all my family and friends there to celebrate with me. The second has to be one of the milestone wins for our football program. A good friend and I have made it a tradition to attend away games like Auburn, Florida State, and Notre Dame just to name a few. We have another friend that is a large booster for ND and had given us field passes that day in South Bend. Surrounded by all that tradition, it was amazing to experience a win like that for our program.
